Happy Vesak Day 2560
Vesak or Waisak is a holiday traditionally observed by Buddhists. It represents the birth, the Nirvana (enlightenment) and the Parinirvana of Gautama Buddha and it is the most significant day of the Buddhist calendar. On Vesak Day, all temples area are beautifully decorated with flags and flowers.
Worshippers bring offerings of flowers, candles and incense to lay at the feet of the statues. These offerings mean that the believers accept their lives. You may witness these serial of ceremonies at Vihara Amurva Bumi, Blahbatuh Gianyar or Vihara Dharmayana, Kuta.
